Breaking News: Approval of Housing Loan for PTPTN Overdue Borrowers!
KUALA LUMPUR: Good news for PTPTN borrowers! You will no longer be blacklisted from Central Credit Reference Information System, CCRIS to own your first dream house.
According to our Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin, removal from blacklist ONLY allow for buying homes but not cars or anything else. She also said that the approval for the exemption has been received from the Education Ministry through the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN). Young people is eligible to purchase any type of property and not just under her ministry.
This move will be included in the Youth Housing Policy which is expected to be launched in mid of October, said Zuraida in a press conference after attending the briefing on the Hi Home Property Conference to be set on 25 July. She had also discussed the matter with PTPTN chairman Wan Saiful Wan Jan by telephone on last month.
Other than that, Zuraida said that 30% of affordable housing project under Bandar Malaysia will be reserved for young people. Commenting on this matter, Syed Saddiq said such initiative will help more young people to own a house. “This is important as we have 3,000 units which are specially catered for young people in Bandar Malaysia.”, said Syed Saddiq.
